Personal Work
These are series I collected together for personal projects. They contain photographs that capture movement in the unpolished way that we experience it. Utilizing techniques such as long exposure, tilt-shift, shutter drag, and the experimental quality of analog photography, I construct a motionless visual that feels active.
From Curiosity
An investigation of in-camera manipulation to highlight movement’s efforts and intentions in a live, stage dance performance.
Featuring TWU’s DanceMakers Fall 2022 Concert & TWU International Dance Company’s Spring 2023 Concert.
Choreography by Tate J Navarro, Nicole Jordan, Christina McKinney, Sarah Tran, Katie Gutmann, Elisa De La Rosa, and Adesola Akinleye.
Of Being
This series creates a sense of individualism within a community. I wanted to express that our environment, the people around us, the clothes we wear, and how we react in different circumstances, all make up our being. It was taken digitally using a tilt-shift lens.
Do They Collide?
A series of landscape images taken digitally from a moving vehicle to emphasize the concept of life always passing us by.
